As the Principal Engineer, you’ll be design, architect, and build services that enable our customers to deploy industry specific solutions. You will also have a seat at the table with our Engineering Leaders as we look to realize double digit growth on a $200M+ in a fast-growing market. Ultimately, your goal is to establish technical architecture and decisions for our 60+ engineer Podio team, while remaining hands-on so that your technical skills can continue to evolve.

Role Overview

Now, let’s get to the details. This role will be the senior technical leader for our Bangalore teams on Podio, and will be the accountable person for technical directions and decisions of this team. Further details:

Technical Skills:

• Build: Expertise in developing large-scale projects using Python, React, Celery, AWS, Aurora/MySQL, ElasticSearch, MemCached

• Operate: Experience in SRE/DevOps, including deployment pipelines, test automation, monitoring and alerting, and incident response

Leadership:

• Technical Oversight: Ability to drive technical deep dives, code reviews, and architectural reviews

• Prototyping: Experienced in building rapid proofs-of-concept to evaluate technical decisions

• Coaching: Ability to develop, coach, and mentor engineers in building a high-performing team

• Continuous Improvement: Always looking for opportunities to improve our services, process, and interactions to provide a superior product to our customers

• Innovation: Keeps current with emerging technologies and their application

• Mindset: A start-up mindset and a bias-for-action in a fast-paced environment
