Job Purpose

To Plan the Coating and Finishing activities efficiently in shift and achieve the targeted volume within the mandated throughput norms.

To carry out process checks & and achieve the quality product consistently.

Achieve and sustain a high level of safety awareness and compliance among all operators by constantly monitoring compliance with Health and Safety SOP’s and machinery operation SOP’s.

This position is also to support its own area to be sourced by fully trained operators

Maintain good organizational communication and personal relation.

Key Result Areas

H&S and 5S

Ensure compliance of SOP’s and safety standard in every activity of coating and finishing operation.

To establish healthy and safe work environment and there by achieve zero work related incident (RAR) in the department by monitoring and verifying the TaRA, SSB and SOP’s adherence.

To do reporting and investigation related with H&S matters to department Manager.

Continuously promote the principles of 5S housekeeping and maintain a target of 95% score

Productivity:
Need to achieve the target volumes as per the Logistics plan.

To achieve Minimum 90 % TOT and meet the service requirement .

Need to maintain the department waste with in the norms (KPI Targets).

Need to be hand-on in all the process and maintain productivity.

Training and Developments

To organize training secessions as per the schedule.

Maintain the training records and review the same with department manager.

Do process control and record it

Communicate department KPI’s to all stake holders.

Keep operators disciplinary register update and discuss with department manager for improvement.

Other Administrative functions

To conduct daily SSB, Zonal conversation, DSC meeting and KPI/Productivity review meeting with operators.

Monitor the Absenteeism on daily basis. Highlight the same to department manager and organized meeting for correcting the issue.

To prepare and circulate the shift schedule for operators.

Responsible for effective allocation of operators on daily basis and Maintain the attendance records for Labour hours reporting.

Responsible for maintaining basic rules & regulations in shift, good organisational communication, house keeping etc.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required

Education, Knowledge and understanding of:
A Textile Engineer, Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or Ceramic Engineer, Textile Chemistry Graduate/Diploma in Textile or Textile Chemistry with good knowledge on Bonding and Finishing Process.

Knowledge on Processes like, Bonding, Stretching, normal or fusible coating, Optic fibre cabling (manufacturing of rip cord, binder and water swellable yarn) and Vi-cone Winding & Packing.

Knowledge on Bonding and Curing are preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 1-3 yrs.
