Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
Daily cash management
Group Treasury operates the Group’s internal bank. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that other group companies have sufficient, but not excess, funds to meet their operational requirements. All treasury transactions must be recorded in the Treasury Management System (TMS)
- Ensure all bank statements are imported to the TMS.
- Reconcile previous day’s bank and treasury transactions and ensure correctness of ruled based reconciliation.
- Ensure completeness of previous day’s treasury payments and check if no outstanding/pending treasury transactions. Provide payment information to beneficiaries on demand.
- Investigate any unexpected bank transactions and action them adequately.
- Prepare cash forecasts and balance currency pools via borrowings and short term FX transactions – execute and action transfers and FX dealing if required.
- Review and plan treasury dealing for the next 2-5 working days – prepare payments, action deals in the TMS, capture all treasury related transactions.
- Manage and review the Group’s senior credit facilities – prepare utilisation requests, pay interest and commitment fee, etc.

Intercompany loans and deposits
- Administer the portfolio of intercompany loans and deposits and cash sweeping balances. Ensure correct interest rates are applied.
- Action deals in the TMS on maturity and instruct necessary payments (interest, repayment, etc).
- Instruct monthly interest payments for cash sweeps.
- Review counterparties’ liquidity position to identify any opportunity to reduce loans / increase deposits and liaise with them for action to be taken.
- Prepare intercompany lending agreement for any new lending and periodically check for completeness of lending agreements.
- Prepare WD1 and WD2 reports to support month-end closing.
- Support the business with details on historic lending for tax audits, internal audit and similar requests.
Intercompany netting
- Manage the monthly intercompany netting cycle.
- Review the list of intercompany invoices received from SAP to avoid problems with final settlement.
- Carry out list of tasks in the TMS to prepare final netting report.
- Action the settlement of netting payments.
- Prepare post-netting forecast and balance cash pools accordingly with FX deals and use of borrowing.
- Provide support and advice to the subsidiaries on demand.
- Prepare intercompany netting agreement for any new participant and periodically check for their completeness.
Business support
- Manage the coats.treasury@coats.com inbox
- Support Group Treasury with manual payments on demand (JPC, Portugal, etc).
- Support Group Treasury with external dividend payment
- Support Group Treasury with USPP interest payments and rate setting and interest payment of interest rate swap
- Manage static data in the TMS – account opening/closing, address change, etc
- Manage LEI subscription (onboarding, renewing)
- Manage bank mandates updates across the business.
- Manage Treasury POs on SAP
- Administer e-banking platforms (incl. corporate cards): add new user, change limit/access, cancel access
- Corporate cards: send statement to individual card holders and JPC statements to DXC for reconciliation
- Prepare CT61 tax forms and WHT certificates and action WHT payments on instructions from Group Tax
- Manage the USPP note holder register (re-register note holders on demand) and ensure completeness of DTTP2 / QPP forms
- Support DXC with ad-hoc requests: bank statements (backup), information on payments, etc
Ad hoc
- Support the Corporate Treasury Manager and Group Treasury with ongoing projects
Reporting
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for producing a suite of Treasury Reports on a daily weekly, monthly, quarterly and at year ends:
Daily
- Daily Control Report / Check list detailing procedures completed and End of Day positions (T and T-1)
- Daily Net Debt flashes in the final week of each month (entire month in June and December)
Weekly
- Ensure eTreasury updated (Business Units or eBanking)
- Weekly Treasury Report
Monthly
- Monthly intercompany position report (loans, deposits and sweep balances)
- Monthly Accrued interest Report
- Monthly headroom report
- Supporting reports for the Monthly Treasury Report
- TMS to SAP GL reconciliation
Education, Qualifications and Experience
The candidate must be:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a multinational Treasury environment
- Experience working in and awareness of the importance of control environment and secure operations
- High level of competency with online / digital tools including but not limited to; Treasury Management System, eBanking platforms, FX dealing platforms
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience of working in fast-paced, high energy level environment
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and systems
- Self-motivated personality with high standards for quality and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance)
- Fluent in Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication
