What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Team for this position?

The candidate holds a pivotal role as a domain expert, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of diverse applications within the realm of large-scale global e-Commerce Operations. In addition to these responsibilities, they play a crucial role in providing ongoing support for these applications.

The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

Who are you…

You are an expert, Full Stack Developer –

• Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities

• Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve highly sophisticated business processes and procedural problems

• Develop and modify user-facing features for web and mobile eCommerce applications

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus

• Lead and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards

• Lead application rollouts, system upgrades, apply user experience techniques

• Maintain production systems reliability through accurate utilization of GIT standard support and governance processes

• Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA

• Deliver solutions to tackle business requirements considering priorities and resources availability

You connect the dots –

• Ensure the accurate use of information technology project management methodology to comply of information technology governance practices

• Ensure accurate documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfers

• Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors

• Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes

You are a collaborator –

• Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project

• Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components

You are a mentor / coach –

• Manage / guide members to implement multi-functional projects / initiatives demonstrating project management standards

• Mentor and share knowledge to grow and develop the skills of the eCommerce team members

You are an innovator –

• Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work

• Identify and explore new opportunities to demonstrate new technologies to improve the Platform

What you’ll need…(Required)

• Over all 5+ years of IT experience and min 5 years as Fullstack developer

• Proficient in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

• Sound knowledge of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks including jQuery

• Experience in JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as like Vue/Next, React/Next or Angular

• Experience in Node.js and server frameworks such as Express or Sails

• GraphQL/Apollo & REST API development

• SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration

• Experience of cross-browser compatibility, code optimization, security

• Experience on developing custom web components

• Experience on prototyping and translate wireframe into reality

• Knowledge to integrate with REST API

• Solid understanding of GIT source code control and branching methodologies, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, logging, and testing tools

• Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams

What you’ll need…(Preferred)

• Knowledge or experience on eCommerce frameworks such as Magento and Shopify

• Google Cloud Platform services

• Containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Microservices

• Serverless’s functions

• Experience on Cyber security standard methodologies

• Experience working on Agile development teams

• Experience of using user centric design and applying User Experience concepts

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is a plus

• Proficiency with Git version control

• Familiarity with browser rendering behavior and performance

• Familiarity with JS automated testing tools and frameworks

• Experience with backend/API development

• Interest in DevOps principles

• Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA), cyber security, cookie policy, & accessibility standards
