What role will you play as a member of Colgate’s Information Technology team?

The candidate is responsible for business facing support & development for various applications in SAP Finance like General Ledger, Taxation and Statutory compliances, Banking, Asset accounting, controlling, inventory accounting etc. The role requires the person to execute various production system’s support activities and project related activities, ensuring the smooth execution of critical business processes.

The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / technical teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

Ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

Who are you…

You are a functional expert:

• Ability to interact with business stakeholders, system integrators and external support providers

• Design and automate CI/CD stack, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and logging

• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

• Work with developers and release management to design and implement delivery pipelines

• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the application development team to streamline code deployment.

• Participate in architecture design and implementation of infrastructure monitoring, security, and scaling solutions

• Evaluate and evangelize forward looking processes, tools and technologies that help deliver high quality secure software faster and more efficiently

• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability

• Implement and improve automated testing solutions

• Collaborate within the product team to consistently deliver quality software to end users

• Manage support according to Global SLA, respond to emergencies.

• Bring the innovation and external experience in processes such as deployment, cloud services and micro services, analyze the system performance etc.

• Mentor and coach junior developer resources.

• Ability to independently connect with business to understand the requirement and recommend a suitable solution

What you’ll need…(Required)

• Business process knowledge of Finance processes of General ledger accounting, Taxation, understanding of Financial statements.

• SAP knowledge in General accounting, SPL/Parallel ledgers, Integration with SD,MM, BI with inventory accounting.

• Familiar with the Finance Month End close process in SAP.

• SAP system knowledge on various taxation, integration, reporting for statutory compliances

• Experience in setting up EBS process under Banking

What you’ll need …(Preferred)

• Participation in any one full life cycle implementation is preferred

• Should be able to work independently and work with a cross-functional and client facing team within an on/off-shore model.

• Understand Requirement, create a high-level design of the solutions and do the implementation accordingly.

• Strong financial domain knowledge and should have capability to give advice to customer business folks in finance areas.

• Validated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

• Must be a very good standout colleague with good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate clearly and concisely.

• Knowledge in ABAP debugging, Report painter would be an added advantage

• Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
