Job Description

The FP&A Manager is a key leadership role in the organization responsible for working with the business and across finance groups to forecast the consolidated Income Statement. In addition, this role plays an active part in developing recommendations for leadership to ensure that the business consistently hits their financial targets. Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 1 finance professional responsible for the Income Statement and Consolidations forecasting and reporting for the Aerostructures business
• Manage monthly forecasts and gap analyses for all financial metrics and gap scenarios for Corporate business planning teams
• Manage and consistently improve all controls related to the Income Statement
• Present monthly financials, latest forecasts & gap explanations and provide business recommendations to management and/or leadership levels
• Work closely with business and finance leadership to establish and align processes and communication
• Support monthly/quarterly management reporting packages to finance and corporate leadership
• Support financial month-end closing process and other adhoc requests as necessary Prepare and analyze inputs for a quarterly forecast for sales, profit, and cash flow, and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP)
• Provide variance analysis of monthly sales, costs, and profit actuals in comparison to forecast and plan. Perform the same effort for AOP/SFP. Identify/quantify risks and opportunities to ensure that the team and management are informed of the financial status and impact.
• Networks with senior internal personnel in support of the portfolio. Represents the organization as a prime contact on financial information.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong project management skills and able to effectively plan and prioritize multiple tasks to meet due dates and support the enterprise
• Knowledge of financial modeling, US GAAP principles and interpreting commercial contract language. Aerospace product knowledge a plus
• Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex business or process issues to all levels of the organization
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SAP, BW, Business Objects, HFM
• SAP Experience
• CPA & CMA Certification
