Role purpose

As the Director of Information Risk Management, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for Colt’s information security and business continuity & resilience practices. You will collaborate with leadership across Colt when formulating the risk position and help shape and direct the investment portfolio to manage our cyber and resilience risk within appetite. This role is pivotal in providing the VP, Security and Resilience and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) the appropriate risk information to make informed business decisions. The role will lead a global team of information security and business continuity subject matter experts and will also be part Security and Resilience Leadership team.

Key accountabilities

• Lead and manage information security governance process across Colt.
• Lead and manage the business continuity and IT resilience process across Colt.
• Act as the Crisis lead in managing crisis and incidents across Colt.
• Engage and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within the organisation and gaining support in relation to risk management activities.
• Deliver a pragmatic Cyber & Information Security Risk management strategy that aligns with business strategy and objectives.
• Deliver a robust business continuity and risk management strategy that aligns with the business strategy and objectives.
• Develop and update the risk management and resilience framework, processes and governance.
• Embed the Governance, Risk and Assurance tool, and produce meaningful risk information to describe the residual risk position.
• Driving improvement within IT governance, risk and compliance.
• Assessing the adequacy of information security policies, standards and remediation activities.
• Contribute to a holistic enterprise-wide information security and resilience program.
• Lives the colts values and behaviours and drives the culture change.

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

• Lead the framework to maintain and update the threats catalogue with inputs from SME’s
• Lead the Management information reporting of the monthly KPI’s / KRI’s across the key security and resilience controls
• Demonstrate how the security projects are assisting in the reduction of cyber & information security risks.

Relationships and key contacts

• This role requires excellent communication skills and will interact with VP – Security and Resilience, teams in security and resilience function, Internal technology teams, Internal Business functions e.g. Legal, HR, Marketing etc., and Internal audit team.
• Externally, they will communicate with customers, regulators, third parties, and external auditors.

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and developing a high performing team consistency delivering value added results to the business.

• Extensive experience in creating strategic direction and delivering outcomes.
• Proven ability to guide and lead a team through times of change
• Strong skills in problem resolution/trouble shooting (conception and technical)
• Strong influential skills to drive collaboration, alignment and delivery.
• Abreast with understanding of existing and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• CISSP or an equivalent security qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree or direct and applicable work experience
• Minimum 15 years’ experience designing and delivering security and resilience solutions to include a combination of:
  • security architecture knowledge and experience
  • designing, building, and implementing security controls
  • designing, building and implementing business continuity and resilience programs
  • security risk management – identification, analysis and mitigation of risk
  • developing IT security structure and strategic direction
  • cloud security experience
