We are looking for an experienced and goal-oriented Restaurant Manager to join our fast growing, multi-cuisine restaurant in Goa to recommend and meet budgets and goals by leading a service team that ensures quality service standards with personalised guest attention. A successful restaurant manager will have excellent communication skills, great customer service skills, staff management skills, and restaurant management skills.Duties and responsibilities:
1. Lead, train and motivate a service team.
2. Meet and greet guests and develop a personal guest database to ensure continued patronage.
3. Conduct daily briefings ensuring two-way communication, training and policy information.
4. Check the mis-en-scene and mis-en-place done by the team.
5. Develop innovative ways to increase the sales of the restaurant by up-selling menu items, food promotions, merchandising, etc.
6. Schedule staff rotations and duties and organize extra hands when required.
7. Ensure the safety and hygiene of the restaurant.
8. Maintain discipline and conduct staff appraisals.
9. Coordinate with the chef for menu offers and operational coordination.
10. Coordinate with other departments for the smooth supply of operational supplies.
11. Responsible for proper billing and cash recovery for services rendered.
12. Resolve guest and staff complaints and grievances.
13. Represent the restaurant in Food and Beverage meetings and conferences.
14. Conduct periodic restaurant analysis, competition analysis, and industry analysis.
15. Recommend and monitor a budget and plan for the year.
16. Control expenses of the restaurant.
17. Continuous learning and enhancement of the skillset on periodic basis.
18. Preferably have a network to get in the manpower required for the operations of the restaurant through own sources.
19. Assist with the recruitment process to hire new staff.Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar managerial role in the restaurant industry.
2. Experience in planning and budgeting.
3. Knowledge of restaurant service and guest handling.
4. Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking ability.
5. Excellent communication skills. Required: English, Hindi. Desirable: Konkani/Marathi.
6. Training skills.
7. Guest handling skills.
8. Etiquettes and manners.
9. Supervisory and management skills.
10. Personable and well-groomed.
