We’re looking for a System Engineer (Mumbai, India) We see this as an exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced in managing datacenter IT functions including servers, storage, network, applications, and databases. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the other teams in Techops and Software Development organizations in support of our global state-of-the-art data centers. You will support the systems and applications powering Cornerstone’s world-class web-based SaaS applications in our high availability global data centers. We are one of the largest SaaS companies on the planet with more than 10 Million business users on our application. This critical position provides great visibility and individual growth potential for an ambitious IT professional, but also requires proven experience with exponential growth on a global scale. You will work with the latest Microsoft technologies (we are a MS Gold Partner) in a fast-paced, interactive environment. You will be working with load balanced web servers, clustered Windows and Linux, storage, VMware, AWS and other technologies supporting the Cornerstone SaaS application. This position includes shared responsibility for all system backups, disaster recovery planning and computer security practices. The Systems Engineer is part of a global team which has responsibility for maintaining better than 99.9% uptime. In this role you will work on the following…

• Manage configuration, administration, upgrade and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft clusters, and the AWS Infrastructure.
• Assist and Support automation framework by incrementally adding more tools to the framework using PowerShell/Python and CloudFormation
• Manage and Support basic Database operations and Monitoring
• Responsible for systems operations and support to maintain uninterrupted production systems and databases.
• Research and resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of our software applications to ensure negligible impact on both client and internal operations
• Maintain uninterrupted production systems and 99.9% application and system uptime
• Manage automation framework via orchestration tools like Jenkins/Rundeck and AWS Lambda/ Systems Manager
• Working on Rotational Night Shift to Support US Hours

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…

• 4+ years hands on System Engineering and Administration, Networking or Data Center operation and support experience, specifically for a large technology or internet company
• Solid experience with Windows (IIS), EFT FTP, Linux (CentOS) and Storage (Backups)
• Good to have MSSQL and/or NoSQL Basic and application troubleshooting experience on tools like Splunk.
• Intermediate Scripting skills if not expert on PowerShell/Shell/Python/Ansible
• Strong knowledge and expertise in virtualization and managing hybrid cloud based virtualized infrastructure
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
• 4+ years hands on System Engineering and Administration, Networking or Data Center operation and support experience, specifically for a large technology or internet company
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required
• Willing to work in shift 24*7*365
• Added Advantage: Experience with Hosting and/or SASS Companies
• Experience working with Windows/Linux, system administration, automating tasks/processes at every opportunity, and owing an environment, then this could be job for you
