Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

The position is to coordinate and direct customer service aspects of Corning Environmental Technologies (CET) business in India. This includes coordination of all new purchase orders (customers/ plants), follow-up for timely payments from customers, arrangement of samples, providing support during resolution of quality issues and introduction of new products and processes. Responsible for managing short term forecast, while working with account managers. Key interface with customers, supply-chain partners and responsible for managing relationship with supply-chain partners

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Working closely with Sales team, to coordinate and direct CET activities in India, with emphasis on managing sales by interactions with supply-chain partners.
• Working through the Corning based CSR organization, to coordinate all new PO’s and related documents OE customers and the Corning manufacturing facilities worldwide.
• Experience in material handling and Import/Export is must.
• Engage with plant quality teams as needed to close quality and field issues.
• Work closely with sales team to provide short term forecast to the division.
• Help plan and arrange (contacts, timing, topics, etc.) for key visits and accompany Corning on their visits to supply-chain partners in India.
• Be responsible for the commercial tasks associated with any process changes/new product introductions/ or plant startups relative to customer validation requirements. Manage validation with the customer.
• Frequently visit supply-chain partners to monitor supply/ product quality, create close working relationships and to acquire information, treads, need, competitive information, etc.
• Working on problem solving techniques involving data analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Define and document all commercial operating procedures

Project Tasks

• Direct and Coordinate all Corning efforts at the OEM/ supply-chain partner in specific platform launch activities.
• Track and manage the change at the supply-chain regarding production, personnel’s, etc.
• Participate along with local AE team to coordinate and conducts as appropriate customer related product evaluation tests with supply-chain partners
• Stay current with Corning’s changes and developments by visiting designated global Corning sites for training and information exchange.

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years in supply-chain management, automotive industry background is preferred.
• Along with supply-chain understanding, commercial knowledge and experience would be an added advantage.
• Requires moderate travel 15-25 % and high level of enthusiasm in dealing with customers.
