Lead and provide support as appropriate with conceptual and detailed design of solar civil and structural components.

Design review of civil and structural plans, specifications, calculations, and studies. Support structural design activities as needed. Emphasis on civil/structural items pile design, corrosion analysis, geotechnical investigations, construction material testing, racking design. Independent review of testing, commissioning plan, and QA/QC documentation. Conduct site visits and inspection as necessary. Performs quantity take-offs. Assists in the pricing and bidding of renewable and conventional generation construction projects. Communicates with engineers, suppliers and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements, and documents these clarifications. Conducts reviews of milestone documents for the development and pricing of value alternative opportunities. Actively participates in the internal estimate review process. After the bid, collects and organizes all bid information for future reference. Aids field operations with change order pricing if needed. Directs, coordinates and provides information and documents to subcontractors and vendors. Participates in estimate and budgeting activities by soliciting subcontractor and vendor support and evaluating bids. Participates in site walks and client-facing meetings as required. Manage the team of structure engineers. Using Staad Pro, Solid Works, civil 3D and other civil engineering software for developing detailed designs as per Indian and American Codes. Preparing detailed drawings (including architectural, fabrication, and construction), design calculations and Bill of quantities for development of solar power project. Provide assistance to other Engineering design staff as required to achieve within the team a sense of harmony, effective team work, highly motivated staff and a strong customer focus.
