Coursera Hiring for Accounts Receivable Manager at Gurgaon Full Time

Job Overview:

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will report to the Senior Revenue Manager. This position’s primary role is to monitor AR transactions and perform aspects of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close processes within the Accounts Receivable Department. This role will also help manage the collections to meet company goals on a monthly basis. In addition, the AR manager will also need to have ASC 606 knowledge to be able to approve the sales order created by the AR accountant. This individual has the ability to manage people and work as part of a large team. Great interpersonal skills, excellent English verbal and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to follow procedures accurately, strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with sales and customer success management team to provide invoice schedule approvals, resolve issues and invoice disputes
• Ensure all invoicing and cash applications are accurate monthly
• Manage collections of outstanding account receivables
• Complete routine month-end close procedures, including accounts receivable, allowance for doubtful accounts and bad debt expense, within prescribed timeframes in a timely and accurate fashion, performing flux analysis
• Review sales orders that have been created by junior team members
• Coach and mentor team members

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years accounts receivable and collection experience including month-end reconciliations.
• 2+ years in SaaS industry or software industry experience
• Degree in Accounting or other Finance related field
• Good understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard
• Experience building relationships and working directly with senior executives
• Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment from high growth SaaS companies preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrate expertise of analyzing processes and implementing process, and work on system/process improvement to reduce manual work and to improve operational efficiency
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, whether internally or externally to support rapid growing advertising business.
• Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Advanced Excel Skills. ERP system experience (preferably NetSuite, and Salesforce)
• Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable SOX controls
• A self-starter, works well as a team player, but works independently when appropriate
• Communication, management and analytical skills combined with sound business judgment
