Self-driven Strong Cloudera Hadoop Engineer and Administrator who is able to perform platform engineering and support role in a fast paced and regulated environment. Work with application teams to deploy new applications. Provide vision and strategy to enhance Big Data Platform.

Your skills and experience

We are seeking hardworking, experienced Big Data Support Engineer to join a growing, high-visibility cross-Bank team that is developing and deploying solutions to some of Credit Suisse’s most important analytical problems

Strong knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Kudu, Phoenix, Ozone, Ranger, Atlas, Knox, NiFi, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres. You are proficient in Python, Ansible, Salt and DevOps technologies. Linux and BASH scripting
You have a good knowledge in Cloudera CDH and CDP Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Cloudera Manager as well as performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce / Impala. You build and maintain positive relationships with your colleagues from other application teams to install Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades
Design and implement column family schemas of HBase, apply different HDFS formats and structure like Parquet, Avro, etc. to speed up analytics, Fine tune Hadoop applications for commitment and efficiency. Troubleshoot and debug any Hadoop ecosystem run time issues
Proven experience in Service Management i.e. Release management, Incident management as well as experience with deployment toolsets like Odyssey & Git. Data visualization Tableau & Business Intelligence Pentaho
You are a dedicated problem solver with production support experience and an ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary, distributed team. You are a hard worker with a strong curiosity for extracting knowledge from data and the ability to elicit technical requirements from a non-technical audience
Knowledge of Elastic Search, Data Search and Relational Query Language
You bring 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT at a global organization with recent 3+ years in Big Data ecosystem engineering/support
