Your responsibilities include: • Influence, implement & mature our end-to-end automation testing strategy. • Prepare test automation for functional and non-functional test suites. • Work closely with software engineers to influence the design of our features with testability in mind. • Train team members on test automation creation and drive the shift-left of testing in our development life cycle. • Implement tools & methodology that support Testing frameworks such as TDD/BDD/ATDD. • Build the business logic level automation test suite. • Ensure automated test suites are fit for purpose and executes continuously, using the larger scrum team and individual contribution. • Responsible for overall quality, coding standards of the automated suites. • Manage day-to-day technical testing activities. • Provide regular status reporting to key partners including progress, risks, issues and mitigation steps • Be part of a multi-functional scrum team where you will take other tasks such as business analysis and release management activities depending on experience and requirements. • Be interested in the business as well as technology aspects of the domain. • Bring a positive, can-do attitude and be open to all ideas. Your future colleagues Credit Desktop is a heavily used web-based platform offering a rich feature set critical to a number of core functions in the bank across the front, middle & back offices. As the product reaches its sunset, the team need to continue to support the platform while translating today’s business challenges into tomorrow’s platform. The strategic platform will be built with Site Reliability Engineering principles in mind to ensure operational aspects are automated where possible and the platform is fast, reliable, scalable, available and easy to deploy fully-tested new features to. The project team will span across locations in India, the UK and the US but daily work will involve collaborating with people globally. To excel in this role, you should possess: Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related field. * 8 years of test engineering or software development experience; or 5 years with an advanced degree. * Experience in the field of software engineering (i.e. working with data structures, algorithms, OO principles). * Working experience with Test automation tools and frameworks for standalone applications (e.g.: Selenium, Test NG, Junit, UFT/QTP, Cucumber, JBehave) * Proven experience with relational databases and SQL. * Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills alongside experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle. Preferred qualifications: * Strong knowledge in STLC such as Test Planning, Test Design, Test Execution, Defect Management, Status Reporting and Test Metrics. * ISTQB certification. * Business domain knowledge in the Credit Risk space. * Experience with Java Testing frameworks (e.g. Junit/ TestNG, Maven) * Experience with unit and integration testing across back-end Java and front-end UI components. * Experience with Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell, Perl or Python. * Experience using Agile principles in small functional teams, with exposure to all phases of the systems development lifecycle.
