The role is for one of CRISIL’s global banking clients. The analyst would work primarily in the middle-office control function, which is focused on the integrity of key transactional, risk and financial data and reporting. Key responsibilities include the following:

• Provide a complete and validated data set of transactional information, efficiencies in the production, and proactive management of the data set

• Provide assurance on the accuracy of the firm’s financial statements through daily PL validation, risk model inputs, and proactive management of internal inventory and collateral obligations to ensure key liquidity/collateral requirements are optimised

• Provide business support and oversight on new products/transactions, financial resources, liquidity management and trade bookings; propose and implement FTB process improvements; institute performance analytics; and help navigate regulatory, industry and account changes

• Ensure relationships between a range of reference data, trade attributes, instrument and transaction data are not broken; while input data is validated; reported data is reconciled

• Assist risk managers in overriding data where necessary as part of adjustments/overrides

• The MRMO function reconciles reports between systems to ensure numbers from multiple systems are consistent

• Drive data management strategy for risk, and help develop data architectures

• Provide ad-hoc risk views and drill-down analysis of less transparent risks and issues of importance to senior risk management/trading heads
