Note: Please note that only those candidates who have registered themselves in the Apprenticeship Portal for
Apprenticeship and who fulfil the eligibility criteria as indicated above will be considered for appearing walk-in-
interview. Interested and eligible candidates may appear the walk-in-interview with all original &
with one set of photocopy of all relevant testimonials with self-attestation as indicated below
along with the application- (i) Caste/Tribe Certificate [for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates as applicable] in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority as prescribed by Government of India. (ii) All Certificates/Testimonials in respect of DOB, qualifications. (iii) Experience certificate/Documents issued by the Employer in support of experience (iv) Candidates should ensure that they submit all the documents mentioned above. In the event of failure to submit any of the required documents as mentioned above at the time of walk-in- interview, their candidature will not be considered. I. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: A. Category – I Trade (ITI) Apprentices: – Passed out trainees in the particular trade of NCVT pattern designated by Director General of Employment & Training (D.G.E.&T) and who have registered with Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT), Chennai will only be considered for selection. B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: –  A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical
Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.  A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline. 
Diploma under recognized Lateral Entry Scheme [(10+2)/ITI admitted in the second year of Diploma course] shall also be considered. Note: 
Sandwich diplomas, private diploma, part time/ distance /short term/certificate courses etc., are not acceptable. 
Candidates who have one year or more than one-year experience in the relevant field either in Govt. /Public/Private sectors are not eligible. 
Candidate should not have completed three years after passing of the qualifying examination ie., Candidates who have passed Diploma in/after April 2019 are only eligible to apply.

II. AGE: Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules. The minimum age limit is not less than 14 years.  SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation 
OBC – Non Creamy Layer Candidates: 3 years relaxation 
Persons with disabilities: 10 years relaxation

III. RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:  Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS will be followed.
Candidates who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS shall provide copy of caste/community certificate (if belongs to SC/ST), Non-Creamy layer certificate (if belongs to OBC), Income & Asset Certificate (if belongs to EWS), Disability certificate (if PWD candidate), failing which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only.  Weightage will be given for PWD/Ex-servicemen, their children & Children of serving armed
forces personnel. IV. DURATION OF TRAINING: The duration of Apprenticeship training is mentioned in the above Table – A & B. V. PREVIOUS TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Ex-Apprentices or current Apprentices in any organization/firm are not eligible to apply. Combining of apprenticeship with other institutions is not permitted.

VI. APPRENTICESHIP REGISTRATION: Candidates are advised to register as a Trade/Technician Apprentice online in the following portals under the respective State as per their Trades below: a. Candidates appearing for walk-in interview should have been registered in the above mentioned portals and their

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Date & Time of Walk-in-Interview: 11th – 14th July, 2022 at 09.00 AM (Reporting Time: 08.45 AM). No
candidate will be allowed to enter into the venue after 09:00 AM. 2. Candidates have to submit their duly filled-in application available in CECRI Website along with original & self-attested copies of certificates, mark sheets, proof of date of birth (copy of SSLC/HSC), Aadhar Card, a passport size photograph at the time of interview. 3. 4. The original documents including educational qualification, Birth/SSLC certificate, community and experience certificate, etc., in respect of selected candidate will be verified at the time of walk-in- interview. Your joining at CSIR-CECRI as apprenticeship trainee is subject to verification of certificates. 5. If number of candidates are more, the Selection Committee shall adopt its own criteria and shortlist the candidates for walk-in- interview in proportionate to the available vacancies. 6. Selected Candidate will be provided accommodation in the Institute campus (if available) and license fee will be levied. 7. Successful apprenticeship trainees will be awarded National Apprenticeship Certificate by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). 8. The applicant’s candidature would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials. In case, it is detected at any stage of engagement or thereafter, that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/ doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement if any, his/her engagement is liable to be terminated. 11. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi will be final and binding on all candidates and on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full, etc. No correspondence/ Interim queries will be entertained in this regard. Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the Director, CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/ insufficient number of candidates. 12. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period CSIR-CECRI shall have NO obligation to offer employment to such apprentices NOR can an Apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship. 13.
