Job Description

We are looking to hire a skilled Windows Administrator to manage and maintain our Windows system and server network. In this role, you will be responsible for installing or upgrading Windows-based systems and servers, managing user access to the servers, and maintaining the security and stability of the network.

To ensure success as a Windows Administrator, you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance, advanced coding skills, and the ability to solve complex IT issues.

Your will work primarily with Windows servers, you will also interact with other types of technologies and applications including Linux, Macintosh, mobile devices. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various types of hardware and software, which often involves creating user accounts, carrying out backup and recovery functions, and monitoring the performance of servers at all times.

In this role, you will also work with other teams in the organization to evaluate their technology needs, administer the network environment, set up workstations, maintain configuration management, follow and maintain policies and procedures, and document them to maintain applicability. This is an onsite position in our in our Pune office and on call with other members of team on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include:
Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
Discussing system and server upgrades with technology stakeholders.
Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
Providing technical support for application teams and system users.
Troubleshooting system and server errors.
Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase.
Managing user access.
Monitoring system performance.
Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
Maintaining Configuration Management Database

Qualifications

5+ years experiences working as an Windows Server Administrator
In-depth understanding of Windows Server operating systems
Experience with Enterprise Active Directory, Forests, Sub-Domains, and Group Policy Management
Must be able to automate administrative tasks and script in languages, such as Powershell
Must have an understanding of security principles and practices
DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Public Key Infrastructure
Windows Firewall & Security Concepts & Solutions
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manger (SCCM) & Windows Software Update Services (WSUS)
Ability to work effectively in a team and individually with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills

Preferred:
IIS configuration & management a plus
