Job Description
Bachelor Degree of engineering or related required.Minimum 5 years of MS-SQL DBA and DBE experience required.Strong understand of Database backup and restore procedure.Deep understanding T-SQL is required and able to write the complex T-SQL queries.As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies.Configure MS-SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.Install and configure new MS-SQL Servers.Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors.When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes.Finding DMV queries to answer questions about server-level performance.Document the company’s database environment.On-call duty 24/7 support in case of emergency.Troubleshoot MS-SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.Developer experience is big plus.Powershell knowledge is big plus.MYSQL knowledge should be plus.Percona XtraDB cluster knowledge and configuration should be plus.
