DC Department of Human Resources Looking For Auditor at Atmakur, Telangana, Full Time

This position is located at the District of Columbia’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU). The MFCU is a Unit responsible for investigating and prosecuting cases involving healthcare fraud by providers in the District Medicaid program and abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of individuals residing in Medicaid-funded healthcare facilities.

The OIG is responsible for conducting independent financial and performance audits, inspections, evaluations, and investigations of the District of Columbia government programs and operations.

This position will directly support the OIG’s oversight of the District of Columbia’s $3.3 billion in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Congressional appropriations. CARES and ARPA funds are available through Fiscal Year 2024.

Duties And Responsibilities

The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to serve as a member of the investigative team who will advise investigators and attorneys regarding the financial analysis of cases under investigation. More specifically, the incumbent will:

Assist in presentations to other agencies, including& investigative entities, and federal and local prosecutors, and may assist in grand jury presentations.

Direct and apply audit sampling techniques, analyzing internal controls. examining financial records. procedures, and administrative controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies of the Medicaid programs.

Accumulate data maintain records and assist in preparing reports of Medicaid fraud health-care projects and other assigned activities;

Exercise day-to-day responsibility for production progress, quality control. and

Efficient use of time and resources.

Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications And Education

Degree: accounting, auditing, or a degree, including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.

Prefer/desire applicants with experience in analyzing healthcare claims, accounting, or financial records.

The work is performed in an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
