What you’ll achieve You will work in the Infrastructure Platform Engineering Automation team helping to enhance our next-gen cloud-native applications focused on platform automation. The Platform Automation team leverages modern application development languages including Golang and Java and modern deployment methodologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Kind and others). Candidates will have experience working with platform engineers in designing, building, and deploying Cloud-Native solutions. As a Principal IT Automation Engineer, you are responsible for development, deployment and maintenance of enterprise cloud-native applications focused on automation of VM provisioning, Load Balancing, DNS, and other networking components running on the Kubernetes Platform and services in our Private Cloud infrastructure. You will:

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications written in GoLang or Java and bash.
• Develop scripts, CLI’s and API’s written using REST principles and 12 factor methodologies, and enable CI/CD to automate deployments.
• Partner with product and development teams to enhance and develop new features and improve self service capability
• Providing operational support to triage issues with applications deployed on the Kubernetes platform ensuring security and stability

• Total 12+ years of working experience in Application Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Linux Operating systems
• Experience in Java, GoLang, Kubernetes, Docker Containers, Cloud building blocks – compute, storage, network, tools & automation
• Experience with Cloud configuration automation (Ansible, Terraform, , etc.)
• Strong soft skills required for effective communication with business decision makers, colleagues, and others

Desirable Requirements

• Strong scripting/programming skills (Java, Golang, bash, powershell, etc.),
• Coding against APIs (REST) and manipulating structured data (JSON, XML, etc.), build and CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Github, concourse, etc.)
