Assistant Manager, Marketing and Communications, Global Clients & Industries (GC&I)

The team The Global Clients and Industries (GC&I) team within Deloitte, Touché, Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is responsible for driving growth and alignment within the Deloitte member firm network to deliver a consistent experience and the very best of Deloitte across the network to our Global Crown Jewel/Global Strategic (GCJ/GS) clients. The goal is to serve our Global Crown Jewel/Global Strategic clients with quality and distinction and make a measurable, tangible, and attributable impact. GC&I Marketing and Communications directs, manages, and coordinates high impact, global marketing campaigns to deliver on the sector/industry, business, and member firms marketing strategies to promote solutions/services, business and industry insights, and create a unique client experience. These multifaceted marketing campaigns are designed to enhance Deloitte brand eminence, reaching a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including clients, media, government, non-government organizations, industry influencers, and the internal Deloitte network The Assistant Manager is responsible for planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns, development of a variety of customized marketing content and supporting assets, including web content, social media content, brochures, capability decks, event invites, and dissemination of content across channels. Individuals in this role report to the Marketing Manager, working closely with multiple stakeholders within the GC&I Marketing & Communications competency as well as broader marketing and GC&I organization. Work you’ll do: Marketing content strategy: Plan, develop, and execute

• Work with Industry Marketing Leaders (IMLs), campaign managers, industry/sector teams, and the communications team to understand campaign needs, objectives, and scope to effectively develop relevant and innovative campaign plans and success metrics

• Understand the strategic marketing framework and work with the IMLs to define realistic and measurable campaign objectives; Support the development and execution of the global marketing strategy and campaign, including content and channel strategy, content marketing, digital marketing channels (web, social, email), and event marketing

• Work together with IMLs to create and present campaign plans to the collaborating teams—D.com, Social Media, Intranet, Global PR, and Communications

• Assess needs and create high quality, impactful content including internal toolkits, newsletters, digital and mobile channel copy (Deloitte.com, intranet, social media)

• Track the latest trends around channels, formats, and competitor activities around key issues to develop cutting-edge marketing content

• Have a thorough grasp of content that is available and repurpose information resourcefully to improve turnaround time

• Work closely with the creative designer to help create visually appealing marketing assets and creatives to support campaigns

• Build custom presentations as required to meet the needs of the stakeholders, and ensure all presentations are visually appealing and brand compliant

• Review performance of published content and recommend ways to optimize/tweak campaigns for better results

Drive service excellence

• Collaborate with GC&I Marketing & Communication stakeholders including the digital channels team, communications team, PR, agencies and design studios, internal knowledge services team; the analytics team to define campaign goals; external vendors for various services; disseminate content seamlessly across channels, assist with campaign launch, and measure campaign success

• Assist the leadership, IMLs, and channel teams to establish or optimize processes

• Ensure compliance with legal and DTTL brand standards for marketing deliverables as appropriate

• Assist with team’s daily operations, and build strong relationships with all the stakeholders

Talent management: build a high-performance team

• Drive collaboration and effective execution across the marketing team through knowledge sharing and identification of opportunities for team development

• Work with other team members, through effective project management and active knowledge development and sharing, to achieve common team goals

• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new talent

Value delivery: enable impact measurement/continuous improvement

• Drive overall marketing effectiveness measurement and ROI process

• Collate metrics and help create campaign impact reports

• Contribute to the success of the GC&I Marketing team through regular participation in discussions and sharing of best practice

Network: build relationships/coordinate with collaborating teams

• Share best practices with the broader marketing community as well as industry/sector teams

• Build strong relationships with the broader network e.g. GC&I Marketing team and other GC&I teams including Knowledge Management, Insights, Solutions, Deloitte.com, Social Media, as well as other marketing support teams residing in Hyderabad

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related fields; An MBA would be a plus

• Years of Experience: 6-9 years of experience in a marketing, communications or internal communications role with a marketing mindset

Skills

• Strong business acumen and an ability to drive campaign content/approach from the view of the audience

• Strong oral and written communication skills and advanced editorial capabilities, with a focus on business communications

• Mastery level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft PowerPoint

• Good knowledge of creative design concepts, with an emphasis on quickly developing high quality communications and presentations for use in client-facing documents and presentations

• High attention to detail

• Good multi-channel editorial capabilities—web, mobile, and print
