Deloitte is working with Government sector clients on their various strategic endevaours to help unlock growth, development, and sustainability by enabling them to spot unseen business challenges through curation, transformation, and blending of data. Your work profile

As a Consultant in our Operations Transformation – Transportation and Logistics Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: –

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Take ownership of teams, typically consisting of 1-2 analysts, providing guidance, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Lead the development of proposals, including responding to RFPs, crafting compelling value propositions, and creating detailed project plans.
• Perform market research including analyzing data from secondary sources to identify industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
• Exhibit strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess complex business issues, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions.
• Support in commercial due diligence including analyzing historical data, market trends, and competitive dynamics to project future traffic and demand for various sectors.
• Support in financial due diligence including creation of detailed financial models to estimate CAPEX, OPEX, and revenues, and incorporating sensitivity analyses and value for money assessments to evaluate the financial viability and economic viability of projects.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to clients clearly and effectively.

Desired qualifications

• Basic academic qualification: Master’s in Commerce / Master’s in Business Administration / Master’s of Science (Economics, Finance) / Master’s of Technology and other related areas
• Additional academic qualifications (preferred): Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) / Chartered Accountant / Others
• Preferred skillsets: Financial Modelling Skills (Advanced Excel, Macros and VBAs) / Data Analysis and Statistical Skills / Data Visualization
• Work experience: 1-4 years of core consulting experience
• Industry experience: Preferably in Operations Consulting with focus on Transportation & Logistics sectors (Aviation, Railways, Metros, Logistics Facilities, Ports and Shipping, Others), among other related sectors
• Functional experience: Preparation of business plans, growth strategies, go-to-market strategies, market diversification strategies, sectoral policies, commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, policy advisory, public private partnership structuring, others

Requisite core skills

• Self-motivated, innovative, and strong team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong core consulting skills – i.e. analytical, primary and secondary research, presentation, and basic financial modelling, including logical structuring and storyboarding, superior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to integrate and synthesize large sets of data and broad stakeholder perspectives into meaningful insights
• Solid knowledge of strategy models and frameworks
• Accustomed to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected
• Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills, and experience communicating to, and working with, virtual teams, and senior leadership
• Must possess the ability to handle highest level of confidential information.
• Knowledge and previous experience in innovation, strategy, operations or technology domain
• Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment with many competing priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives
