Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Pune Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Do you enjoy being part of team who are operating the latest technology and innovation? As a Network Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the Network Operation’s Advance Services team i.e. Level 3 support for operations based in Pune. Your key responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) role for suite of network technologies like Routing and Switching, Network Security, Ultra Low Latency (ULL), Wireless etc.
• Review current network standards with applicable stakeholders to ensure the standards are impacting the network positively
• Create gap analysis’ based on operational input on current network performance standards
• Review best practice designs with vendors and ensure common practices are being implemented in the Deutsche Bank network
• Review current monitoring and reporting systems and make recommendations to optimize event management and performance management software
• Acts as an internal training resource to tier 2/3 operations engineers
• Provide software analysis for network devices and network security devices to minimize network disruptions due to bugs and security vulnerabilities
• Provides trend analysis for vendor escalation services (TAC, JTAC, Checkpoint, McAfee)
• Provide detailed written summaries of Incidents. Provide detailed recommendations for resolution.

Your skills and experience

• 7 years or more of networking industry experience
• Experience in Financial institution enterprise networks preferred.
• Experience with configuration and support of Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Juniper product portfolio in Routing, Switching and Security domains together with other preferred technologies
• CCIE or other expert level certifications.
• In-depth understanding and hands on experience in complex LAN/WAN.MAN, DWDM architecture and troubleshooting
• In-depth understanding of operational and troubleshooting knowledge of trunking protocols – VTP-8021.Q etc.
• In-depth working knowledge and troubleshooting of IP routing and network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, spanning tree, multicast etc.) and hands on experience with common network hardware including Cisco ACI (SDN), F5 Load balancer, Cisco router, switches, firewalls etc. Also familiarity with top cloud providers platform and service offerings
• In-depth understanding of DNS,DHCP, GTM, LTM, Wireless technology; voice and video; DWDM (Adva),ULL environment, basic Linux skills ,DDOS,NIDS, Virtualisation
• Strong technical ability to troubleshoot and solve highly complex IP networks and hardware problems
• Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits (sniffer etc.)
• Understanding of ITIL framework
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to articulate complex technical issues to leadership teams
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills
