Provide second line support for users;
Solve hardware issues coming from service desk; Deskside will perform diagnostics together with DELL support and schedule and coordinate replacement of hardware.
Ensure that information is accurately recorded in the service management tool (BMC Remedy);
Deskside will work closely with Real State and Procurement team to design cabling for new offices and offices moves in your area of responsibility IMEA. Making sure all projects are completed according to the schedule without any impact to business; Deskside IT needs to support Real State and Procurement to make sure we provide a good experience in office moves to our customers.
Make sure all server room is clean and organized; Equipment’s not in use also to be discarded.
Deskside is responsible for guiding users and line managers for purchasing new machines using our portal.
Responsible to provide support coordinate purchase IT equipment’s for the region.
Deskside is responsible to install or reinstall machines in all offices using local offices IMAC.
Deskside is responsible to make sure all machines are working with warranty, offering new machines or warranty renew for those close to expire.
Work close to Rem Proc to make sure we have a process in place for waste and recycling old equipment’s; We need to make a list of devices to do disposed and HD should be shredded; Certificate should be raised by the vendor.
Provide basic in-house training to end-users.
Utilize knowledge base system and contribute to the knowledge base.
Plan and prioritize work to ensure that deadlines and targets are met.
Make sure users in the area are satisfied according to our Customer Satisfaction target.
Coordinate and provide support for server and networking virtual teams with regional issues. Making sure vendor will have access to our server room to perform maintenance into our equipment’s.
Manage tickets opened from our WAN provider and help them to have access to our server room in different locations in India and Middle East.
Qualifications/experience
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
3-5 years’ experience in IT deskside role
Experience with structured cabling, new office setup and office moves.
Recent support center/technical deskside support experience (at least two years full time) preferred.
Working knowledge of Windows 10.
Experience in supporting remote users in the IT area; (Remote Desktop)
Working knowledge of Windows Server basics (Active Directory, Network Sharing, Permissions, Management Console);
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Personal characteristics/behavior:
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to work with users of all skill levels;
Excellent telephone, oral and written communication skills;
Extremely detail oriented and ability to consistently follow team procedures and documentation;
Service minded attitude that will create positive impact on end users;
Have proficiency in English – spoken and written is a must.
