DXC Technology Hiring for Mainframe Professional JL4 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu Full Time

Interact with the business customers and several interfacing application teams as needed to define and implement requirements.

Analyse, design, code, test and implement application changes per requirements.

Identify process improvement opportunities and lead the implementation efforts.

Develop and execute unit test plans and scripts to validate that assigned modules meet technical specifications.

Translate requirements and functional specifications into test cases, ensuring that test cases cover all business requirements.

Participate and lead technical reviews at appropriate stages of development

Participate in integration testing

Experience in design, analysis, development and implementation of Development, Enhancement and Maintenance projects in Mainframe. Experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, CHANGEMAN, Jira and Service now.

SDLC process – Requirement gathering, analysis, design, estimation, Understanding of low-level design, development, preparation of unit test plan, unit test cases, unit testing, defect analysis, test support, implementation, and postproduction support. Working knowledge in Agile methodology will be desired.

Good verbal & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work effectively in a dynamic fast paced team environment.

Align solutions within the overall IT strategy.

Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, sizing, backlog refinement, daily scrum, review and retro.

Participate in the requirements gathering workshops, User Story preparation, Technical design review process to ensure high quality technical designs.

Identify and deliver best practices, process optimization solutions.

Build strong working relationship with onshore/offshore team, and customers.

Follow training plans, requirements and schedules as outlined

Must have a sense of ownership in handling project and technical issues and able to provide effective and timely resolution.

Complete and keep up to date with all Mandatory trainings.

Ensure following of processes and best practices

Effective communication, must have good connectivity to be able to perform remotely

Desired Skills and Qualifications

More than 5+ years of development / enhancement experience in Mainframe and its associated tools.

Experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, CA7, CHANGEMAN, Jira and Service now.

Ability to work independently and help the team to accomplish the work requests.

Think Customer. Ability to play customer facing role, if required.

Effective verbal and written communication

Working knowledge in Agile Environment

Nice to have skills:
Experience in Midrange applications like Stored Procedures

Knowledge on domain skills like Insurance
