StorageEngineer with good hands-on experience on storage systems from Dell EMC products ( Vmax, PowerMax and Isilon) and also Brocade SAN Switch to be part of a team that configures, , integrates, tests, implements, documents, and supports the storage infrastructure ecosystem. The candidate works with different teams to explain requirements and suggest the appropriate storage systems procedures.
Engineer maintain the fiber channel switches and SAN arrangements by ensuring that software and firmware are in keeping with the latest needs of an organization. If there are any damaged parts, they replace them. They also work with vendors to fix issues that they can’t themselves.
Engineer should be able to research new technologies to find out if they suit their organization’s existing infrastructure. If not, they will build appropriate infrastructure to fit them in & follow all the best practices & standards as defined by vendors & architects.
Engineer also set up and maintain documentation of the existing technology and solutions. They help to design the concept and process and handle resource allocation. One of their primary duties is creating data usage and precise performance reports with office applications.
Responsibilities & Skills:

• More than 8+ years of solid experience on managing and supporting san storage environments.

• Experience in project delivery such as creating Implementation & migrations plans on Storage systems.
• Provisioning; Decommissioning and Sustainment of Storage operations.
• Competitive in handling different Storage systems. (DellEMC Powermax & VMAX, Brocade Switch )
• Scripting experience & hands on experience with Spectrum Control, Brocade network advisor, DellEMC SRM, Brocade BSL.
• Hands on experience with managing various copy services with DellEMC storage systems i.e. sync / async replication, flashcopy / snapshots
• Customer service oriented and strong listening and analytical skills
• With Windows/Linux/Unix System Administrator experience (preferred) from San standpoint.
• Build and maintain a holistic understanding of services in the environment and how they interact with each other
• Escalation point for complex production-impacting incidents and problems
• Assist architects with design and implementation of new systems
• Performance and capacity analysis, planning and reporting
• Reduce repetitive manual tasks through automation
• Create and maintain operational documentation as related to storage administration
• Participate in post incident reviews when required
• Integrates technical knowledge and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and for customers.
