Qualifications
Position Summary
Application engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales force, and is responsible for actively driving and managing stages of the sales process from technical support point of view.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with customer pre and post-sales to provide in-depth technical support for products. Perform engineering duties in developing prototypes and assembly process.
Understanding the Customer needs and inputs from Sales teams to design and deliver technically and financially viable solutions for various automotive applications.
Answer to RFP/RFQ/RFI together with Key Account Sales Manager.
If required, acts as a Project Manager for key projects to ensure the final solution is delivered towards customer’s expectation and initial proposals.
Follow and share market technological needs and evolution in various automotive applications with Product Line Managers.
Support for new launch of products through Market research and gathering voice of customers.
Communicate customer needs and concerns throughout all levels of the organization both verbally and various written communications and presentations.
Support for field product troubleshooting and deliver service to the products.
Organizing exhibitions and Tech-Day’s in various Automobile OEM’s, showcase application base solutions and promoting products.
Conduct regular Product and Application Trainings for Internal and external personnel to develop technical competency and product awareness.
Regular Technical support to APAC region Sales Teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education / Experience
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with 4/5 years of experience.
Reporting to –
Head Technical Customer Support India/ASEAN
