Eaton Corporation Hiring for Assistant Manager-Firmware Developer at Pondicherry, India Full Time

This exciting role offers opportunity to:

• Responsible to get specs from sales/customers, spec mapping, spec definition and FW design for UPS and accessories. Should be able to identify required changes in the firmware and complete UPS & board level test to address issues from the field, customization and new product development.

• Hands on working on in-circuit emulators, compilers for 8/16/32 bit microprocessors/controllers/DSP/mixed signal processor based firmware development projects.

• Good at debugging, real-time language skills (C & C++) and hardware knowledge at component level.

• Understanding of firmware design and development with state diagrams, flow charts and exposure to visual basics front end development is an added advantage.

• Hardware/firmware integration and co-simulation/testing environments.

• Good knowledge of electronic components selection and validation process.

• Fully understand the operation theory of power electronic converters and strong knowledge on analog and mixed signal circuit designing and testing.

• Good understanding of firmware/software design life cycle.

• Work closely with global design/research team and interact with them on regular basis.

Qualifications:

B.Tech or BE

Min.6-8 years of FW design and development

Skills:

1. Experience in design, development & integrating embedded firmware and hardware.

2. Experience in developing the firmware achitecture for UPS and similar product lines.

3. Very good understanding of communication protocols such as USB, I2C, CAN and SPI.

4. Develop applications and drivers for embedded systems RTOS’s and develop board support packages for new hardware platforms.

Excellent communication and Presentation skills and Project handling with cross funcitonal interaction
