About the Role

Technical Writer – Job Description

CISO MAG Editorial

We require a candidate to write technical content (cybersecurity) for our custom publishing business (paid content). The candidate will also vet the technical content in all CISO MAG stories, both online and in the e-magazine.

Business Writing Skills

Excellent command over the English language is essential. The candidate should be familiar with business writing and business concepts. They should have experience writing whitepapers, blogs, features, etc.

Technical Knowledge

The candidate should have a deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts and information security systems and tools. Knowledge of concepts such as penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, network security, cloud security, security monitoring tools, and operating systems is preferred.

Production Experience

The candidate should have experience with editorial production (schedules and timelines) and publishing articles online (content management systems/WordPress). They will be required to work with our designer to produce whitepapers for clients.

A Team Player

The key attributes desired are a positive attitude, the ability to learn quickly, and a hunger for knowledge. The candidate should have a pleasant personality and be a team player who is compassionate and supportive.

The candidate will report directly to the Editor-in-Chief, who is responsible for producing content for the magazine, website, and clients in the industry.

Mandatory Skills Required:
Excellent English language writing/editing skills

A strong technical knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity concepts

An eye for detail and accuracy (error-free content)

Editorial production experience

Online publishing experience

2–7 years of experience

Experience in business writing

Experience writing blogs, whitepapers, and feature articles

Technical Writer Qualifications:
Degree in Mass Media/Communications or related field

Cybersecurity certification preferred
