About the Role

We are seeking a creative Public Relations Manager to oversee our communications and media relations. In this role, you will develop communication strategies to engage customers, increase brand trust, and cultivate and maintain positive relationships with media contacts. When negative press issues arise, you must identify the source and create responses to reduce or eliminate theunfavorablepublicity. You will primarily work on strategies in-house butwilloccasionally collaborate with outside public relations firms on large-scale media campaigns.

You will develop and maintainaPR strategy to create timely, relevant content thatstrengthens EC-Council’spositionas athoughtleader and innovator inthefield. You will drive coverage in national media related to IT security compliance, cybersecurity,and other verticalsthe companysupportsin a way that is relevant. You will manage the relationship with programs, events,and strategic campaigns. You willbe in charge ofensuring thatthe company’smedia efforts are focusing on the right initiatives by prioritizing,measuring,and reporting on those efforts. With a full understanding of our solutions and the competitive landscape,you will write thoughtful, well-crafted press releases, media pitches, executive talking points,and social media posts. You will alsobe in charge ofcoordinating rapid response plans to capitalize on breaking news, technical security analysis, and other quick-turnaround projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

This role will lead communications for India,Asia,the Middle East, and Africa.

Develop public relations strategies for current and existing products, launches, and promotions.

Work withcontent teamstoensure theyproduce relevant, compelling social media updates with links to products or promotions.

Increase brand visibility andpositioning in the industry.

Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials.

Dealwithinquiries from the publicandthe press.

Cultivate and protectthecompany’s image.

Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships,and advertising.

Track media coverage and follow industry trends.

Buildandmaintainpositive relationshipsandcommunicationswith stakeholders, media,and the public.

Analyzemedia coverageanddevelop responses when needed.

Organize promotional events, press conferences, tours, visits, and exhibitions.

Create and manage PR budgets, deadlines, objectives, and schedules.

Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly,and annual media activity reports.

Experience &Qualifications

Experience inpublic relations,media relations, and reputation management

Experiencing managing social media accounts and campaigns

Minimum of a bachelor’s degreein marketing, journalism, business, orarelated field

Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to eliminate jargon and communicate in simple yet creative ways

8–10+years of experience in PR or a related field

Experience with technologies and best practices for media campaigns across multiple platforms

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Outstanding communication skills
