Role: Application Support Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Application Support for a critical enterprise app for internal and external customers.
• Strong software application troubleshooting background skills to serve as an Application Support (L1/L2) within multiple components of critical business systems.
• Good understanding of SQL queries.
• Good understanding of API concepts.
• Strong knowledge of databases.
• You will be responsible for successfully troubleshooting and debugging technical issues and identifying modifications needed, as well as: Troubleshoot issues (network, web apps, file system, and user management).
• Develop custom scripts, web tools and technical explanations to support customers.
• Document and track customer support tickets from opening through resolution.
• Manage customer expectations through the issue resolution process.
• Participate in on-call rotation throughout the year.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes.

Technical Experience:

• 1-5 years’ experience in application support/production support.
• Prior experience of working with a client and/or debugging/fixing production problems.
• Should be able to do detailed analysis of applications logs etc in order to troubleshoot an issue and on the UI side, familiarity with Chrome developer tools is a plus.
• Excellent Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong scripting skills.
• Should possess good hands-on SQL skills.
• Requires strong monitoring, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education Requirement:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an accredited college program in Computer science or Computer engineering OR
