Duties
Basic Function of the Position: This position is located in the Overseas Building Operations (OBO) office, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent will serve as Driver, transporting Project Director (PD), Construction Manager (CM), technical and management team and OBO visitors, collecting pouches, cargo, picking up office supplies and various office operation support tasks directed by the Administrative Assistant(AA) The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned. Note: The incumbent should have the ability to lift 23 kilograms. This is a limited-term appointment.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: The position requires three years of full time/incidental professional driving experience.

Education Requirements:
The position requires completion of Secondary School (Class X).

LANGUAGE:
Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.
AND
Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is required.
Please attach a copy of the valid Indian driving license with the application along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.
Please note: U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older. We will not consider candidates below 25 years of age. Any applicant that possess a valid driving license issued for less than 5 years will not be considered.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
