JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software Development

• 4-7 years’ experience in a data engineering role.

• Develops code and solutions that transfers/transforms data across various systems

• Data Ingestion from different sources

• Should have deep technical knowledge of various tools in the data warehouse, data hub, and ETL Tools.

• Ensures data is t r a n s f o r m e d a nd s t o r e d in efficient methods for retrieval and use.

• Maintains data systems t o e n s u re optimal performance

• Develops a deep understanding of underlying business systems involved with analytical systems.

• Follows s ta nd a r d s o f t w a re development lifecycle, code control, code standards a n d p r o c e ss standards.

• Maintains and develops technical knowledge by self-training of current toolsets a n d c o mp u t i ng environments; participates i n ed u ca t i o n al opportunities, maintains professional networks, and participates in professional organizations r e l at e d t o t h e i r tech skills

• Works with key stakeholders to und e r s ta n d b u s i n e ss needs and capture functional and technical requirements.

• Offers ideas that simplify the design and complexity of solutions delivered.

• Effectively communicates any expectations required of stakeholders or other resources during solution delivery.

• Develops and executes test plans t o e n s u re successful rollout of solution, including a c c u r a c y a nd quality of data.

  EDUCATION / JOB-RELATED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent

• 4-6 years’ experience in a data engineering role.

• Experience on Datawarehouse tools and ETL Tools

• Strong understanding of Data warehousing concepts, Dimensional Modelling, Archive strategy, Aggregation, Hierarchy etc. and Database concepts like Partitioning, Materialized views etc.

• Knowledge of Snowflake, SQL and java script.

• Knowledge of SQL Tuning

• Proficient in data extraction tools such as PDI.

• Able to occasionally travel (estimated less than 10%)

• Oracle ERP understanding would be an added advantage.

• Strong sense of ethics and company’s core values and adherence thereto
