The team drives innovation and efficiency through disruptive technology, across Epsilon platforms and business verticals. From being the first point of contact for our infrastructure needs to final deployment, the team provides end-to-end solutions for our internal and client-facing platforms. What you will do
Should have thorough hands-on knowledge on installing, administering and troubleshooting RHEL 6.x, 7.x, 8.x & 9.x, CentOS and Solaris 10 & 11.
Hands-on experience with the complete patch management lifecycle including testing, deploying, troubleshooting missing patches and patch issues, etc. utilizing the change management process and patch management and automation tools necessary to ensure compliance and successful audits.
OS Vulnerability and Compliance remediation.
Hands-on building and supporting physical and virtual servers (VMware).
Responsible for keeping management up to date on any outstanding production related issues.
Participate and demonstrate recovery procedures during DR exercises.
Knowledge and troubleshooting issues related to backup and antivirus at OS level.
Desired skill set on LDOM, Virtualization technologies.
Remote administration using consoles like ILO, DRAC, SP, SC, etc.
Should possess certifications like RHCE (RedHat), SCSA (Solaris), VCP.
Automation of day-to-day jobs using scripting languages like Shell, Python, Ansible/Playbook.
Should understand installation related problems for applications like Java, Apache and databases.
Provide training to team on the relevant technical subjects.
As a Senior Admin, drive projects through Jira and ensure we have the updates from team until closure.
Help team in understanding and absorbing new technology. Work with various teams and stakeholder to roll out the same in phased manner within given timelines.
Coordinate with vendors and required stakeholders to troubleshoot issues related to OS and hardware.
Must have very good verbal and written communication skills, should be able to chair and participate in conference calls with international customers.
Working in a complex, enterprise environment with multiple, global data centers in collaboration with network, application, and including demonstrated collaboration with middleware teams
Document and update Manual Operating Procedures (MOPs).
Qualifications
Experience in RHEL, Solaris, CentOS, DHCP, DNS, Ansible.
Have excellent knowledge on Storage – SAN, NAS, Rubrik, Volume Management, BIND DNS, Jira, Confluence.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Desired to have hands on experience in troubleshooting server class hardware mainly with HP C7000 & C3000 Chassis, HP Blade systems, HP Synergy, DELL Blades, etc.
Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Willingness to work in 24/7 environment with rotational shifts.
Requires a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with an Associates or bachelor’s degree.
