Full Job Description
The System Administrator responsible for solving some of the most complex and critical applications like Nutanix HCI, Firewall, LAN/WAN network, Linux Administration, Storage and Backup Management, Vendor Management etc..
Responsibilities:
– Debug, root cause and resolve issues escalated via Critical Accounts Program (CAP)
– Knowledge of Linux, Networking, Server Management, Storage and Backup Management, Vendor management, IT Security like Firewall, CCTV etc.
– Proactively manage on prime data center including periodic status checking,
– Root Cause Analysis and consistent dialog with support Engineer, as when needed
– Provide technical leadership to SRE teams on Nutanix products
– Act as a technical escalation path for SRE teams for critical bug prioritization
– Pro-actively seek out issues which affects to the end users and take necessary steps to resolve them
– Work with technology/AMC partners (ie. Nutanix, Fortigate, Microsoft) to resolve issues and push improvements in our ecosystem
– Develop and contribute to internal and external knowledge base articles
– Actively participate in ONCALL and support case deflection activities
– Clear understanding of Incident Management and Escalation Management
– Possess proven written and verbal communication skills
– Provide hands on technical leadership and support to Surveillance Cell staff where appropriately skilled
– Hands on experience in patching server hardening on Nutanix cluster environment
– Experience in vulnerability remediation
Requirements:
– Excellent interpersonal communication skills that span both business and technical audience
– Solid problem solving skills with customer centric approach.
– The passion & ability to learn new things.
– Be able to work in virtual teams comprising of members of cross-functional teams
– Lead conference calls to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
Qualifications and Experience:
– 3 to 5+ years of experience in virtualization (preferably Nutanix HCI), Layer 2/3 networking,
– Linux systems administration, and storage analysis, and troubleshooting
– BS / BE in Computer (or equivalent and 5+ years work experience)
