We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Machine Learning Engineering team in Gurgaon. Our team works very closely with Data Scientists in a fast-paced Agile environment to create and productionize algorithms that provide various insights to Expedia’s Supply partners.We believe in being Different. What you’ll do:
• You will design optimal ML model interface for feature input and model inference output for integration with application engineering solution and optimize for functional and operational requirements.
• You will creatively test and maintain ML software applications and related programs and procedures by using a variety of software development tools following design requirements of customer and advise on technical limitations of software design for products and provide alternative solutions.
• You will act as a spokesperson for ML Engineering best practices and identify areas of improvements within the code and suggest solutions.
• You can extend outside of the direct organization and collaborate with peers across a senior level organization.
• You can lead a community of practice and bring people together for shared learning.
• You will serve as a guide to others by sharing and helping other team members in their duties.
• You can research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns and demonstrate familiarity with several common ML modeling tools.
• You will read and advise on complex ML data pipelines and advocate for operational excellence (such as unit testing, establishing SLAs, programming for resiliency and scalability)
• You will design and lead advancements, innovations and changes in current solution designs relating to latest advancements in software engineering (specifically relating to machine learning engineering, ML platforms, DS models, enterprise information management, business intelligence and data science).

Who you are:
• You have a degree in software engineering, computer science, informatics, or a similar field
• You are comfortable programming in Scala and Python
• You have hands-on experience with OOAD, design patterns, SQL, and NoSQL
• You have relevant experience building and deploying scalable machine learning pipelines in production environments
• You are knowledgeable in big data technologies, in particular Spark, Hive, Hue, Qubole and Databricks
• You have experience in crafting real-time streaming applications, preferably in Spark streaming, and Kafka/KStreams
• Experience of using cloud services (e.g. AWS)
• You have experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
• You are passionate about learning, especially in the areas of micro-services, system architecture, Data Science and Machine Learning
• You have experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
