Department: Sales and Delivery Team – EmpowerIndustry: Information Technology & Services, Computer Software, Management ConsultingLocation: ChennaiExperience Range: 5 to 7 yearsBasic Qualification: Master/Bachelor of Engineering or EquivalentTravel Requirements: NoWebsite:Role OverviewThis position will be part of our Ab Initio practice and the successful candidate must be able to efficiently communicate with internal teams as well as client personnel in order to deliver industry-leading solutions, detailed functional designs and complex environments throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, leveraging the latest Ab Initio technologies (3.5.x, Continuous Flows, ICFFs, Metadata-Hub, DQE, Express>It, Micrographs, Web Services, Query>It, Authorization Gateway, EME, etc.). • The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining the environment(s) supporting the Ab Initio platform
• The candidate will have to work with different teams (development, training, support) and have to ensure that ETL platform is up and available for development, educational, and support purposes
• He / she will be involved in rolling out and proof of concept of new ETL products
• He / she should be able to work both independently as well as in a team setting
• He / she should have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
• He / she should be able to guide teams to find performance bottlenecks and differentiate between server vs code issue

Relevant Professional and Technical Expertise

• Experience in Co>operating system installation & administration
• Experience in EME administration
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and procedures
• Knowledge of tagging/branching
• Knowledge of WLM (work load manager) and its configuration
• Experience in code promotion/versioning concepts
• Exposure to installation & configuration of Ab Initio 3.x product suite including Control Center, Express>It, Authorization Gateway & Metadata Hub
• Job Scheduling concepts through Control Center
• Good exposure to different UNIX flavors (LINUX, AIX, etc.)
• Knowledge of UNIX commands, shell scripting is a must
• Should have exposure to UNIX performance monitoring commands
• Knowledge of at least one RDBMS is a must
• Experience in integrating various A>I Products to LDAP/Active Directory
• Experience in upgrading old A>I products to the latest version available
• Experience in creating & maintaining Multi-File System
• Experience in configuring the bridge security file & http/https authentication methods
• Experience in configuring/setting up different UNIX drivers required to integrate Ab Initio (UnixODBC, iSeriesAccess, MSSQL, Oracle, Cassandra)

Nice-to-Have Professional and Technical Expertise

• Experience in dealing with Cloud Installations of Ab Initio products
• Exposure to Python with regards to automation and maintenance of various Unix/Linux activities
• Basic networking concepts, OSI model/TCP-IP concepts
• Source code management platforms such as Github/Gitlab, setting up pipelines for CI/CD setup
• Exposure to Jenkins
• Exposure to Unix/Linux configuration management
• Ab Initio configuration on HDFS (Hadoop File System)
• Exposure to Query>it, TDM, TFW
• Exposure to Ab Initio license and KSH/SpecInt estimation & reporting
• Knowledge of job scheduling tool (Autosys/TWS/Control M)
• Knowledge of web application tool (Tomcat/WebSphere) is preferred
• Experience in clustered deployment of A>I products
• Knowledge of UNIX storage concepts/file systems is preferred
• Knowledge of Ansible/Chef/Puppet automation of infrastructure setup
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools like Grafana and Telegraf is a plus
• Knowledge of setting Control Center database is a plus
