The opportunity

EY GDS Global Immigration Team is a fast-growing team that is looking for talented copywriters, editors, content strategists, thought leadership writers, technical writers and editorial managers. People in the team provide support for key global EY initiatives and publications.

The Manager – Immigration Publications Lead will work directly with the firm’s Global Immigration Knowledge team and EY Global Immigration practice members worldwide and help deliver strategically sound, user-centric content. You will lead the efforts of strategic planning and tactical execution, content planning, drafting, reporting and analytics. You will play a critical role in leading the immigration editorial group, delivering against project goals, and aligning to taxonomy, user experience (UX) and delivery timelines.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage junior and senior associate editors and ensure the delivery of timely, high quality immigration content in support of various firm initiatives and publications
• Review the work of junior and senior associate editors, provide training and constructive feedback, and help drive best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style within the team
• Suggest improvements to the tone and structure of the content delivered by junior and senior associate editors
• Develop strategies for, and support the editorial team with, sourcing newsworthy content from the government and other websites
• Work with various stakeholders (legal, design, leadership, etc.) and subject matter resources to develop immigration content for circulation and obtain technical sign-off
• Draft/edit/review content that is that is crisp, informative, factual and in line with the EY brand guidelines
• Ensure that content has been through quality control and is proofed to meet firm expectations
• Effectively prioritize work, and balance multiple priorities simultaneously to meet competing commitments and deadlines
• Provide project management and administrative support, as needed
• Recommend ways for improvement in process and tracking of content flow
• Learn and use EY’s internal tools for content approval and publication

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in English literature or mass communication
• Content Management Systems (CMS) and SharePoint experience critical
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience, with at least one year of experience editing corporate immigration content

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Creative agency, advertising or Big Four experience
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics or equivalent web analytics tools
• Understanding of measurement and analytics of social media and website content
• Aptitude and willingness to continually expand your core skillset
• Basic/working knowledge of core corporate immigration terms, concepts and trends
• Ability to work flexible hours

Technologies and tools

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
• Modern SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive
• Knowledge in Project Management tools and methods
• An interest in broadening your knowledge of new technologies
