Job Description

Our well-known client from the Education Management Industry is looking for a Junior Backend Developer. Back-end developers create, code, and improve the server, server-side applications, and databases that, when combined with front-end codes, help create a functional, seamless experience for the end-user.
Tasks

• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices;
• Be responsible for the overall delivery and the solution architecture of the feature;
• Own a functional area from product conception to delivery;
• Understand the user and their behavior and continuously contribute to making their experience better with each release;
• Work with engineers, designers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter;
• You will continuously evaluate relevant technologies, influence and drive architecture and design discussions;
• Work on multiple integrations to help improve the product;

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field;
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g MySQL, PostgresQl, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cloud Firestore, Redis or ElasticSearch) with good working experience in at least one of these;
• Good understanding and knowledge of computer networking and protocols;
• Knowledge of developing, testing and deploying large scale Rest APIs in any language or stack;
• Knowledge of Node.js or Express is a plus;
• Experience using either AWS or GCP stack;
• Good knowledge of multiple tech solutions and ability to pick the correct one for the given situation;
• Passion for learning new things, solving challenging problems, writing code and a drive to improve in these skills;
