  About the team

FIS is building a community of engineers to develop and then commodities a catalogue of enterprise wide consumable products that can easily and repeatably be scaled and deployed across our global Merchant Cloud & Automation Services (architecture. The products you develop will help drive our organization towards our strategic principle ‘Cloud First’ and our successes will be measured through the continued adoption of our MCAS products and services. Operating within a collaborative Java environment, we aim to deliver effective solutions focused on business value.

What you will be doing

+ + Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products using Microsoft .Net technologies.

• Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and ability to teach concepts to junior developers

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.

• Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed.

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.

• Ability to review code for established governance and coding standards and advocate these standards to the team members.

• Ensure adherence to processes as required by the project

• Update the manager of the progress on module, flag risks and issues early on in the process

• Coordinate with lead programmer(s) and business analyst(s) with focus on effective communication from a delivery perspective

• The individual may be required to work on multiple areas simultaneously (development, platform releases, installations, conversions, support, training, etc.)

  What you bring:

Technical skills

• 3 to 5 years exp in .Net technologies (C#, ASP .Net, MVC, SQL Server & SSRS)

• Proficient in Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, MVC development.

• Nice to have knowledge in Angular framework.

• Commendable knowledge of APIs – SOAP and REST – how they are constructed and how to apply to solve business problems.

• Experience designing and writing Unit tests.

• Ability to review code for established governance and coding standards and advocate these standards to the team members

• Experience in working in scrum teams
