Trade Sanctions Compliance Analyst, Sr. (monitoring / oversight / advisement)

About the team:
FIS is building a World Class Export Control and Trade Sanctions Compliance program . The FIS Export Control & Trade Sanctions Compliance team is part of the broader Compliance Program at FIS. The team plays a crucial role in various areas of sanctions compliance including, but not limited to, investigation and escalation of sanctions alerts, management of true sanctions matches, execution of alert quality control reviews, management of sanctions lists, production of management information and reporting, review of sanctions risk assessment methodology and results, tracking of internal and external sanctions issues and oversight of tuning, configuration and automation of sanctions technology, as well as the monitoring and testing of other businesses’ sanctions screening programs.
What you will be doing / Key Responsibilities:
The Resource Manager will provide administrative managerial support to Trade Sanctions Screening staff in India (staff will be dotted line to Trade Sanctions Compliance leadership). Position will manage analysts to ensure project work is successfully completed on a timely basis, and manage various resource management related duties such as training plans, performance evaluations, time-off calendars, etc. for resource group.
General duties and responsibilities
Develops and manages tactical and strategic resource plan for Trade Sanctions Compliance group in India.
Manages interdepartmental relationships.
Monitors a large number of projects under management by staff and initiates proactive internal escalations.
Collaborates and effectively solves internal barriers with large cross-functional teams to accomplish company goals.
Incorporates workforce planning with overall business plan.
Effectively communicates achievements and performance levels of the team to management.
Communicates with subordinates to provide job-related information as well as changes to company policies and procedures and any general announcements.
Understands employee skills and proficiencies, provides coaching and career development, assists in setting performance and employee development objectives and conducts performance appraisals and talent management.
Recruits new staff as needed.
Monitors utilization reports. Recommends corrective action to maximize both utilization and productivity.
May contribute to strategic planning and large-scale operational evolution.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in business administration / management or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
5+ years of staff supervision
Excellent leadership, employee development, mentoring and coaching skills
Ability to interact and negotiate with all levels of management and staff to resolve issues efficiently and to reach agreement when there are widely differing viewpoints.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict management, organization and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, motivate and develop staff with multiple skill levels and build high morale among team members.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.
Program / project management experience / knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations.
Knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance such as trade sanctions, OFAC regulations, AML, BSA, or export controls a plus
