Job Description

The Tableau Architect will be based in Chennai/Pune . He / She is responsible for Architecture, install, setup security in Tableau Application . This role is part of Enterprise Data and Analytics Operations Organization. As part of this team you will be working with solution owners, designers, vendor support and compute team to determine the scope and need for data visualization tools and then implement these tools. In this role you will be responsible for architecting and delivering solutions, setting technical strategy, direction around Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data visualization, and Analytics for enterprise business data. Here is a glimpse of what you will do:

• Setup/configuration of distributed Tableau environment with SSO
• Review latest release and plan on upgrading existing platforms
• Right sizing the application to a build predictable environment
• Implementation of proactive monitoring through early alerting mechanism
• Experience in automation of backup, restore and other housekeeping activities
• Collaborate and lead upgrade efforts, user escalations and working with vendor to resolve them
• Experience in designing security: create users, groups, access levels. Grant rights to users and groups on reports, universes, connections and applications
• Experience in server logs debugging and providing the root cause analysis independently
• Experience with more than one BI tool like MicroStrategy & Business Objects is a plus
• Expertise on working in a clustered server environment is a must.
• Experience with Mobile BI environment and Single Sign on
• Accountable to create Standard Operations Procedure
• Mentoring the team members
• Ability and analyze patterns and some level of knowledge in databases
• Ability to automate tasks reducing manual effort
• Diagnose issues, performance checks and Work with Tableau technical support to address outstanding issues
• Familiar with application automations through RestAPI, Phyton and other scripting languages

Here is some of what you will need (required):

• Interact with Business users, Solution owners and understand their requirements from a data analytic, visualization and UI/UX perspective.
• 10+ years’ experience and in-depth Architecture knowledge of Tableau application and other Business Intelligence tools
• Work closely with IT groups to understand their current technical ecosystem and design a full-blown Tableau environment
• Configure and maintain best practice on Tableau platform
• Create a Tableau road map, and advise on Tableau best practices and guidelines
• Act as a mentor and Tableau SME for other Tableau users across the enterprise

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field of study (preferred computer science, automation, informatics, electronics, telecommunications and analytics)
• Considered an advantage: Tableau Certificate
• 10+ years’ experience and in-depth Architecture knowledge of Tableau application and other Business Intelligence tools
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (English fluent: listening, verbal, written)
• Self-taught. Ability to learn fast and effectively
• Knowledge on Cloud Deployments is a Plus
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Experience with Ticket tracking software (Service Now or similar ticket tracking tool)
• ITIL and SOX knowledge
• Strong attitude towards learning new Tools & automation
