Role Summary:

The role will lead, work with and part of fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team, using technical expertise, creativity and experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems specific to the pump products for nuclear applications . You will lead and work with highly talented team in manufacturing and product-oriented development environment and collaborate with multiple internal and external stake holders. You will get exposure to all aspects of the business and see first-hand the impact your work has on financial performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Accountable to translate company’s strategic priority into achievable actions for the nuclear products

• Actively participate in the design and development of new products and product enhancements.Design, build, and implement manufacturing methods to meet business and product requirements in the safest and most efficient way possible.

• Lead high impact, data-driven, customer-centric, continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, throughput, cost, ROI, availability, and scalability of all business processes.

• Lead the entire manufacturing team to specific products for nuclear applications.

• Practice effective, pragmatic, and creative problem solving.

• Implement robust corrective action designs based on rigorous root cause analysis to improve product deliverables and process outcomes.

• Lead supplier development and supply chain improvement projects including the exploration and validation of alternative, cutting-edge materials, and sources.

• Implement lean methodologies including set up reduction, single-piece flow, poka-yoke, kaizen, and 6S.

• Help identify opportunities and actively contribute to initiatives around mitigating sources of business continuity risk including people, knowledge, supply chain, equipment, compliance, quality, data, security, and environmental.

• Help ensure flawless order execution by providing technical support to the production plan and troubleshooting, problem solving, and dispositioning material and process non-conformances in a timely manner.

• Will have uncompromising integrity and always ensure full compliance to Flowserve’s Code of Conduct, Integrity & Compliance policies.

• Adheres strictly to safe work practices and policies.

• Highly enthusiastic, organized with effective project management skills and driven to meet commitments and deadlines.

• Has strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and Excel.

• Must be willing to engage in the shop floor and able to work with and influence supervisors, workers and other stake holders to achieve and sustain desired outcomes.

• Excellent Communication Skills (both oral and written)

• Strong technical acumen and analytical thinking

• High level of presentation and reporting skills

• Manufacturing & Commercial sense, Market intimacy

• Flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive and proactive approach and strong customer service ethic

• Position Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should be a seasoned Mechanical/ Production / Manufacturing Engineer with 15-18 years of manufacturing, operations management experience in engineering industry, preferably pumps/rotary equipment for nuclear applications.

• Should have strong market knowledge on the nuclear products and capable of setting up a team to drive business in nuclear segment.

• Prior experience in the nuclear sector is essential. Exposure to Sales will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Preferences:

• Has work experience in high energy pump manufacturing for nuclear sector, Supply chain

• Excellent organizational and project & time management skills.

• Is familiar with Lean tools and methodologies

• Continuous improvement mindset and high degree of comfort with manufacturing tools and related IT systems.
