Experience:
Any graduate/Postgraduate with minimum 2 years of experience as a reservation associate or supervisor in a reputed Hospitality sector /traveI agencies with hands-on experience in reservations and property management systems, and experience in managing social media accounts. * Age up to 35 years as on 31.12.2022. * Knowled9e of MS office, including Excel, Power point and computer application. * Good spoken, written and communication skills in English & Tamil is preferrable. * Knowledge of other regional languages if any. * Knowledge and use of Internet & Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc.
NATURE OF JOB:
Process reservations of rooms by mail, telephone, or through central reservation systems referral, sales calls, other departments, and through online travel agents. * To handle all information on the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout. * To handle the selling status, rates, and packages plans. * Create and maintain reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing. * Communicate reservation information to the Hostel Managers immediately. * Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the Hostel Managers. * To handle guaranteed reservations and no-shows effectively. * Process advance deposits on reservations. * Tracks future room availabilities based on reservations. * Help to develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts. * Prepare expected arrival list for Hostel Manager / Management use. * Assist in preregistration activities when appropriate. * Monitor advances deposit requirements. * Handle daily correspondence, respond to inquiries and makes reservations as needed. * Makes sure that files are kept up to date. * Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular location based on the requirements * Making arrangements for site visit through Hostel Managers. * Track future room availability on the basis of reservations and helps develop forecasts for room revenue and occupancy. * To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire, and bomb threat procedures. * Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the Organization. * Open and close the availability as and when required of hostels in all the dash boards, distributing channels and on the hostel website. * Configuring rates on the hostels in property management system. * Update hostel website, social media accounts as and when required. * Timely updating of events, highlights, website, social media accounts and SEO * Create post and seasonal greetings for social media accounts and highlighting the advantages and selling point of hostels.
