As a Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Engineer at GEA, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making processes and enhancing our business intelligence capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gather and analyze business requirements, and design and develop data solutions that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.

How You’ll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Utilize your expertise in Tableau and Looker/Looker Studio to create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports.
• Transform complex data into understandable and actionable insights for stakeholders.

Data Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data availability for analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data storage and processing.

Project Management:

• Lead and manage BI and data engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.

Stakeholder Interaction:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and executive leadership, to understand their data needs.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions.

Business Requirement Gathering:

• Conduct in-depth interviews and workshops to gather and document business requirements.
• Continuously communicate with stakeholders to ensure evolving needs are addressed.

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a related role.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker/Looker Studio.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Experience with data governance and quality practices.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
