Summary

Responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software for cloud and on-premise environments for Internet of Things (IoT), Asset Performance Management and Data Analytics applications and for maintaining DevOps pipeline for these applications

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
• Develop and maintain software applications in cloud and on-premise environments for Internet of Things (IoT), Asset Performance Management and Data Analytics applications
• Maintain DevOps pipeline for software development and deployment
• Apply Data Analytics tools and techniques to analyze field data
• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
  Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Basic Qualifications – Education

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with proven track record of developing software solutions
• Minimum of 3 years experience in building cloud-based applications on AWS and Azure platforms, preferably AWS
• Minimum of 5 years experience in developing web applications using microservices, containers
• Experience in building REST API’s with Flask
• High proficiency in Python
• Databases: Hands-on experience in RDBMS and NOSQL databases
• Experience in using DevOps pipeline tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Jira and cybersecurity tools like Coverity, Qualys, Checkmarx
• Experience in developing software using Agile methodologies
• Exposure to Data Analytics tools and techniques
• Experience in working on Windows and Linux Operating systems
• Knowledge in working with protocols like MQTT, SFTP, HTTPS, OPC UA etc.
