Gems Precision Castings Hiring for Manager Quality Assurance – Foundry at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu Full Time

Gems Precision Castings Pvt. Ltd. is a Castings Manufacturing Foundry which started its production from the year 2006, located on Chennai – Bangalore Highway and is about 50 Kms away from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

It produces SG iron for a variety of automobile applications. The foundry is built on a 1.4 acres land with 20,000 sq. feet built up area.

Our Vision is to achieve a target of 200 tonnes of good castings every month before the end of the year 2021, with our dedicated team of 125 employees, we are confident that we can fulfill our vision. Our Objective is to achieve this mission.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role: Manager – Quality Assurance
Industry : Manufacturing / Automotive / Foundry
Location : Sriperumbdur/Kanchipuram.
Requirement : BE/Diploma
Experience : 8 – 14 Years
Salary : Negotiable (Upto 40,000 based on Experience)

FOUNDRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
SHELL MOULD FOUNDRY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.

Job role:

1) Conduct quality review meetings with production team and work to eliminate quality problems

2) Guide your team to prepare weekly and monthly quality & rejection reports and present to upper management

3) Experience in handling overall quality activities (Inward, Inprocess & final) from foundry

4) Knowledge of common foundry defects like blowholes, shrinkages, cold metal, etc.

5)Exp in Quality documentation like PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, 7QC, SPC, MSA, Internal Audit etc Exp

6) Visit Customer in case of quality issues & customer complaints. Control customer PPM.

7) Work to reduce in-house rejections to less than 5% and Customer-end rejections to less than 5%

8) Must be aware of basic foundry operations & activities.
