ServiceNow Developer Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of platform administration, design, development and implementation of applications in ServiceNow
• Build and Deploy Business Rules, Catalog Items, UI Policies, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, import sets and transform maps
• Developing, installing, and troubleshooting ServiceNow applications
  • Develop enhancements for applications developed
  • Implement service changes, workflow automations, integrations and enhancements.
  • Configure out of the box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows. Develop
  • Custom workflows utilizing modern web technologies
  • Integrating ServiceNow with other company applications
• Integrating it with other programs;
  • Assisting in the design and build of ServiceNow Applications and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices and methodologies.
• Learning about the latest developments in one or more aspects of computer programming
• Training, documentation, and support;
• Lastly, they are also responsible for ensuring that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process
• Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
• Working with Cross-Functional Team to Develop Solutions

Skill Set Needed:

• Experience working and should have good amount of knowledge ServiceNow.
• Experience implementing ServiceNow Service Catalog and CMS (Content Management
• Experience of implementing inbound and outbound API integrations and workflows
• within ServiceNow
• System)
• JavaScript
• Web technologies – HTML, XML, SQL, CSS & UI
• API integrations with other systems
• Configuration of ServiceNow’s ITSM service catalog

• Provide expertise on all technical questions related to development on of SNow
• Develops the technical solutions, implements them and performs the component integration tests
• Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes, and build this into the design
• Understand the large scale thinking and approach needed for success of the project
• Expertise level understanding of SNow required • Expertise level programming skills
• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system
• Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side Javascript and the ServiceNow APIs
• Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications
• Custom UI Changes with usage of Web Technologies such as DOM, HTML changes.
• Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules – Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management or other ITSM application.
• Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications
• Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow.
• Create and manage scripts and workflow.

• System integration experience using web services and other web based technologies such as, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
• Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks • Strong communication, Strong presentation and writing skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members.
• Exposure to ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools like Discovery and Orchestration and other applications like ServiceWatch, GRC etc.
• Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell,Windows Shell) • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
• A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDB
• Experience with ServiceNow’s ServiceWatch and/or Discovery tools
• Should be able to manage the projects end to end (Requirement Gathering to Delivery)
