We are looking for Business Development Consultants based in India join our team.

This is a work from home contract position, working US Shift hours (currently 7.00pm to 3.00am IST).

Roles and Responsibilities

Business Development Consultants will be responsible for driving high-velocity growth by engaging with prospects and converting them into customers. The Business Development Consultant works closely with demand generation tools and the sales team to create new account opportunities, send proposals, and build sales pipeline. Specific responsibilities will include –

• Develop new business via cold calling and mass communication such as email.
• Research via the internet and social media to identify appropriate contacts within the target prospect list.
• Make outbound calls to new clients and potential clients, generating inquiries and working with the sales team through the closing process.
• Build business relationships with current and potential prospects.
• Identify, develop and implement growth strategies in existing and new markets working collaboratively with the sales team.
• Understand client needs and offer solutions from our portfolio of products. Answer potential client questions, and respond to client requests for proposals and more information.
• Maintain excellent relationships with potential prospects through excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed all quotas for calls, proposals, sales pipeline and sales goals.
• Keep detailed and accurate note of all business development activities in our CRM and Email prospecting platform. Schedule follow-up activities as needed.

Day to Day as a Business Development Consultant

• Inbound Lead follow up – Respond to incoming marketing qualified leads that are provided to you by our marketing team.
• Outbound Prospecting –Responsible for developing and executing integrated outreach strategies across cold calls, email, LinkedIn and Outreach
• Effective Follow up Calls – Identify and engage key stakeholders to generate interest in our SAAS solutions that result in qualified leads and opportunities
• Lead Conversion –Be accountable for converting leads into pipeline that can be closed by our sales team.
• Team Collaboration – Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop market specific campaigns, align on prospecting outreach strategies, call lists and lead follow up.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have –

• Bachelor’s degree or higher. BA/BS or MBA degree preferred
• 1 – 4 years of experience in Business to Business sales. Previous experience selling software or technology products, or selling into US markets will be a plus – but not required.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prospect, qualify and convert customers at a high velocity
• Driven, diligent, and passionate about succeeding in the role
• Strong listening, comprehension, and problem-solving skills
• A can-do attitude, and excellent work ethic, time management and attention to detail.
• The right mix of persistence, persuasion skills, and aggression to help customers see value quickly and guide them to an informed purchase decision
• Experience working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce, will be a plus
