As a Sales Engineer, you have to generate enquiries for an assigned range of products promoted by our firm and subequently convert them into orders. This involves understanding the products and thier applications and studying the market in depth to identify prospective clients and being upto date on the upcoming projects relevant to our market.
SALES ENGINEER – JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintain close contact with customers to identify new business opportunities in the marketplace and to obtain feedback on project and quotation status.
Understand the exact client requirements and coordinate with the inside sales team and the respective Principals to prepare clear and definitive technical and commercial proposals in accordance with defined scopes of supply.
Research and Identify prospective Clients/ Upcoming Projects in the region
Interact with prospective clients, discuss technical concepts of various products, and ensure customer makes note of the Unique Selling Points of the respective products.
Take an active role in customer care during contract execution.
Act as a single point of contact for client on technical issues and manage company/client relationship to ensure the highest level of service
Coordinate with the Inside Sales Team and Support Team to regularly follow up with the customer for the release of payments
Increase sales effectiveness by increasing product knowledge through technical presentations, marketing materials, communications and technology so that the focus is on selling solutions, not just products.
Provide in depth product knowledge support to other team associates, when required.
Keep track of live enquiries and report the status of the same on a regular basis
Regularly schedule appointments with prospective clients across Kerala to promote the range of products offered by Geofranc
Direct exposure to various industries including Oil & Gas, Fertilizers & Chemicals, Shipyards, Airports, Medical, Power, Food & Beverages, Steel, Automobile, Construction etc.
Exposure of interacting and working along with reputed and multi-national companies who are specialized in the manufacture of various industrial products
Develop a clear understanding of the niche engineering aspects of various products available in the market and also develop knowledge on various critical engineering process applications through training programs offered by our principals
Exposure to multiple streams of engineering – Mechanical, Instrumentation, Fire and Safety
Required Qualifications
We prefer canditates having 1-2 Years of experience in handling Sales/Marketing/Business Development/Service of any of the following Industrial Equipment: Air Compressors, Pumps, Valves, Construction Equipment(Concrete Cutting & Concrete Placement Equipment), Fire & Safety Equipment(Fire Hydrant Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Personal Protection Equipment, Gas Detectors)
Bachelor/Diploma of Engineering in Mechanical /Civil/ Fire and Safety
Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office
Ideal Skills
Must be confident with speaking in English Language
Excellent Communication, Networking and Presentation Skills
Result oriented, self-starter, with a winning attitude and good analytic skills
Pay strong attention to detail, and deliver work of high standard
